On Saturday, October 18, 2025, Jogja Coding House (JCH) by Coding Collective marked a significant milestone with its first-ever JCH Volunteer Inaugural Meeting. From dozens of applicants, 12 outstanding volunteers were selected to contribute and grow together through various JCH community programs.
Meet the Founding Volunteer Team
The selected volunteers represent diverse backgrounds and skill sets, all united by a shared passion for technology and community building:
Revita Agustin, Rois Khoiron, Ahmad Rhizki Pamungkas, Khubaib Sidqo Ahmada, Riki Andika Khusna Saputra, Sri Cahya Putra, Adhyasta Adwaya Al Karim, Rayhan Akbar Hidayat, Zaki Eka Saputra, Daviq Nazril Islami, Andre, and Chatarina Giftadiyana.
A Warm and Interactive Start
The inaugural session featured engaging introductions where volunteers shared their backgrounds, motivations, and aspirations for their journey with JCH. Beyond getting to know each other, the meeting provided deeper insights into JCH’s vision, values, and collaborative approach as a technology community focused on learning, connection, and personal development.
The atmosphere was welcoming and energetic, setting the tone for meaningful collaboration ahead. Volunteers participated in activities designed to break the ice and build trust, laying the groundwork for effective teamwork in future initiatives.
Understanding Roles and Responsibilities
A key component of the meeting was clarifying the roles and responsibilities across different divisions. Volunteers learned how they would contribute to various JCH activities moving forward, including:
- Event Management: Organizing workshops, webinars, and mini classes
- Educational Content: Creating tutorials, articles, and learning resources
- Community Engagement: Fostering connections within Yogyakarta’s tech ecosystem
- Marketing and Outreach: Spreading awareness about JCH programs and initiatives
- Technical Support: Assisting with platform management and technical requirements
This structured approach ensures that each volunteer can contribute meaningfully while developing skills in their areas of interest.
Building a Collaborative Culture
The meeting emphasized establishing a collaborative work culture from the outset. JCH’s philosophy of “Connect, Collaborate, and Grow” resonated throughout the session, reminding everyone that the community is more than just a place to learn technology—it’s a space to grow alongside people who share the same vision.
Volunteers discussed how they could support each other, share knowledge, and leverage their collective strengths to create impactful programs for the broader community. This foundation of mutual support and shared purpose will be crucial as JCH continues to expand its reach.
What’s Next for JCH Volunteers
With the inaugural meeting complete, the volunteer team is now positioned to drive JCH’s mission forward. Upcoming initiatives will include planning educational programs, expanding community outreach, and creating resources that make tech learning more accessible to everyone in Yogyakarta and beyond.
The team will meet regularly to coordinate activities, share updates, and continue building the collaborative culture established during this first gathering. Each volunteer brings unique perspectives and skills that will enrich JCH’s offerings and strengthen the community.
Join the JCH Community
While this inaugural volunteer cohort has been selected, JCH remains open to community participation in various forms. Whether you’re interested in attending events, contributing as a speaker or mentor, or simply connecting with fellow tech enthusiasts, there are many ways to engage with Jogja Coding House.
The success of community-driven initiatives depends on active participation and shared commitment. As JCH continues to grow, opportunities for involvement will expand, creating even more pathways for people to connect, collaborate, and grow together.
